Instruments of a Historic Tone

Instruments of a Historic Tone offers a captivating exploration into The Michael & Sonja Koerner Early Instrument Collection, which is on public display in the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario. This generous gift from the Koerner's personal collection is comprised of more than forty rare and antique pieces, primarily brass, woodwind, and keyboard instruments, along with several manuscripts. Each piece is beautifully photographed and identified, many with extended entries detailing their history and the context in which they were created. The Collection serves as an inspiration to students, staff, faculty, and members of the public who come to The Royal Conservatory of Music.
